Title: Think positive when you reach your lowest point Word Count: 578 Summary: We all face problems or hurdles as we travel along the road of life, this article gives my viewpoint on how to deal with these issues. I have personally taken inspiration from my favourite football team, Birmingham City. They have a famous song which their supporters regularly sing, it is called, keep right on to the end of the road. When I do corporate and business consultancy, one of the most common challenges that people want to deal with is being focused & making progress on important business objectives or life goals. As I ve investigated how people avoid being focused, I ve found that, they are often not centred in the present. When the going gets tough, optimists get tougher Optimists typically maintain higher levels of subjective well-being during times of stress than do people who are less optimistic. In contrast, pessimists are likely to react to stressful events by denying that they exist or by avoiding dealing with problems. One way to start to extricate ourselves from the mindless quicksand is to gently exercise our minds, using mindfulness and meditation as a way of bringing ourselves more emphatically into the real world, and start the process of exercising control over our minds and our lives. Creating a mindfulness meditation is a gentle but powerful exercise. So consciously people would be broadcasting, "I desire more money." The challenge is, they are broadcasting it on channel 5. That being the case, what governs the channels unconsciously? Our beliefs. The universe is always giving you that which you "believe" you deserve, not that which you desire. I had many issues as I grew up from a child, through the teenage years, and finally to adulthood which had a damaging affect on my confidence levels. These included: A bald patch on my head A speech impediment known as a stutter A weight problem, I was basically too fat I am quite short at five foot four Certain people I met would be quite nasty and would try to make fun of me.
